WordCamp Philippines 2008
Written by Alrenz on September 7, 2008 – 5:47 pmGuess who had a new layout! The new layout came from the giveaway CD of WordCamp. Thanks Blog Oh Blog! EDIT: I changed my layout! FALL OUT BOY is LOVE. Wahahaha. :))

My camper’s badge.
On the second to the last day of my term break was WordCamp Philippines 2008, held on the Augusto-Rosario Gonzalez Theatre, College of Saint Benilde. (My school)
Looking back on my post about the said event, I wanted to attend this event to hone my skills in developing themes, and of course, to meet Matt Mullenweg, Mr. WordPress himself. I’m proud to say that I accomplished doing these things at WordCamp.

Happy Campers! With Clarizze and Anna. That’s CRAZY me on the right.
I was with my schoolmates and other friends. We had a good time there. Almost all of us attended our chosen breakaway sessions.
Here’s a funny story:
While MiGs was welcoming us to the WordCamp event, he gave me a special mention because I was freezing cold. Yes, the venue was cold.

With Mr. WordPress himself.
Meeting Matt Mullenweg was… magical. Nah, I’m just kidding. I wasn’t able to talk to him because I was starstrucked. It’s like meeting a celebrity. Here’s what happened.
After falling in line, I patted his shoulder and then used the camera. He was saying, “thank you” and shook my hand. I was not saying anything because I was starstrucked! (Sorry for the reiteration) So I nodded my head. Ooh, I did say something, but my voice was soft.
Thank you to the organizers, sponsors, campers and Matt Mullenweg for gracing the event. Wow! What a great way to somehow end my term break. Tomorrow we’ll be having classes already.
I’ll be looking forward to WordPress 2.7, and to the next WordCamp in our country.
EDIT:
LINK LOVE:
